Explain
• Use the slideshow to review the key concept words.• Explain that children are going to learn about solving problems:
• Various problems friends might encounter.
• Ways children can solve problems between friends.
Model
• After the host introduces the slideshow, point to the photo on screen. Ask children: What do you see in this picture? (friends that are angry).• Ask children: What problem could these kids have? (answers will vary).
• Say: In this activity we are going to learn more about solving problems between friends. Friends don't always get along. Sometimes they want to do different things. What problems have you had with your friends? (answers will vary).
Guided Practice
• Guide children through the next three slides, showing them that friends can have different kinds of problems. Always have the children describe how they would solve the problem.Apply
• Play the games that follow. Have them discuss with their partner the different topics that appear during the Talk About It feature.• After the first game, ask children to talk about the different solutions of the problems. After the second game, have them discuss colors of things they see around them. Have them count different objects.

• Ask children: What can you do to help solve problems? Explain.• Say: Friends will always have problems, but being a good friend means you want to solve the problems. Think about how you can be a good problem solver.
