Explain
• Use the slideshow to review the key concept words.• Explain that children are going to learn about weather:
• Kinds of weather.
• Clouds.
Model
• After the host introduces the slide show, point to the photo on screen. Ask children: What do you see in this picture? (a sky with clouds).• Ask children: Is the sky lighter or darker when there are many clouds? (darker).
• Say: Today we are going to learn about weather. Some types of weather are rainy, sunny, and snow. What type of weather does your area usually have? (answers will vary).
Guided Practice
• Guide children through the next three slides, showing them that there are different types of weather. Always have the children describe their favorite thing to do during that type of weather.Apply
• Play the games that follow. Have them discuss with their partner the different topics that appear during the Talk About It feature.• After the first game, ask children to talk about the different types of clothes children need for different types of weather. After the second game, have them discuss sound words.

• Ask children: What is your favorite kind of weather? Explain.• Say: We can do different kinds of things in different weather. Think about what you do when it is snowing. Think about what you do when the sun is shining.
