Interjections
Include at least four interjections in your dialogue.
Interjections are expressions of exclamation that show emotion. The words themselves often do not have any other meaning. An interjection is often followed by an exclamation point, but not always.
Ouch! You’re stepping on my toe!
Hey, that looks a lot like my sandwich.
Dang! I missed the early bird special.
Wow! I think I got my highest score!
Yikes! The water was freezing cold!
Aw! The kitten is curled up in the blanket.
Hurray! We will have a class picnic!
