Suggested Activities

Have students click on the Musical Chimes link on the bottom of the page.  Divide them into small groups and have them performed the water chimes experiment described on the page.

Level Activities

Have students connect to www.hunkinsexperiments.com/themes/themes_sound.htm Then, have them:

  read about the experiment and discuss what causes the different noises.
  have them perform the experiment according to the diagram provided.
  have students write their own experiment and illustrate it in the style of Hunkin's paper noise experiment.
