Explain
• Use the slideshow to review the key concept words.• Explain that children are going to learn about the five senses:
• What are the five senses.
• Gardens.
Model
• After the host introduces the slideshow, point to the photo on screen. Ask children: What do you see in this picture? (a child).• Ask children: What color are your eyes? (answers will vary). What are some other eye colors that people have? (blue, brown, green, hazel).
• Say: Today we are going to learn about the five senses. People see with their eyes. What other senses do people have? (hearing, touch, smelling, tasting).
Guided Practice
• Guide children through the next four slides, showing them that people can not only see, but they can smell and taste. Always have the children describe their favorite sense.Apply
• Play the games that follow. Have them discuss with their partner the different topics that appear during the Talk About It feature.• After the first game, ask children to talk about their five senses. After the second game, have them discuss where books are located in the room.

• Ask children: What can you see, smell, taste, touch, and hear right now? Explain.• Say: Everyone has five senses. Think about what it would be like if you couldn't taste your favorite food.
