2. Read the free verse poem Autumn. What is a free verse poem?

3. Click on the book on the right that is titled Read more poems. Select Read a selection of poems. Continue to more poems by clicking on the arrow. Are any of the poems free verse?

4. Choose Write a poem at the bottom of the page.

5. Write a free verse poem. Enter your poem, its title, and your first name into the fields on the Web site and click Send It!

6. Return to the site in a few days to see if your poem has been published. Good luck!
