1. Connect to this link: http://depts.gallaudet.edu/englishworks/writing/letter/writingletters.html. Scroll down to look at the different formats for writing letters.

2. Return to the top of the page and find the different types of personal letters. Choose one kind of letter you'd like to learn how to write and click on it.

3. Read the information about the kind of letter, then use what you learned to write a personal letter to a friend. Use as many words from the Helpful Words You Can Use list as you can.

4. Print your letter and give it to your friend.
