Objectives

• Students will use the Internet to do research on commerce and apprenticeships in colonial American times.
• Students will take notes on their findings.
• Students will answer three assessment questions based on the information provided on the Internet site.

Description

"To Market, To Market: A Study of the Colonial Economy from 1600• 1750" provides a grade• level appropriate overview of commerce and apprenticeships in colonial American times, as well as several suggested assessment activities for students to complete in conjunction with the information on the site.

Suggested Activities

• Have students complete one of the assessement activities listed in the Activities section of the site.
• Have the class play the What's My Line game, which is located in the Trades section of the site.
