Explain
• Use the slideshow to review the key concept words.• Explain that children are going to learn about transportation:
• Transportation, it is how people and things get from place to place.
• How vehicles move people and things.
• Various types of vehicles.
Model
• After the host introduces the slideshow, point to the photo on screen. Ask children: What do you see in this picture? (cars, trucks)• Ask children: Can you name any of these vehicles? (car, truck, bus) What do we use them for? (we use them to get from place to place, move things) • Say: In this activity we are going to learn more about transportation and vehicles. Vehicles help transport us to different places. What kind of transportation do you use to get to school? (bus, car, bike).
Guided Practice
• Guide children through the next three slides, showing them that vehicles transport people. Always have the children describe what types of vehicles they see.Apply
• Play the games that follow. Have them discuss with their partner the different topics that appear during the Talk About It feature.• After the first game, ask children to talk about types of vehicles and transportation. After the second game, have them discuss the shapes they saw. Can they name things that are those shapes in the room?

• Ask children: What kinds of vehicles have you ridden in? Explain.• Say: Vehicles take people and things all around. Think about what life would be like without them.
