Suggested Activities
• For the next two days, as a class keep a journal about the kinds of foods you eat. Count the amount of meats, vegetables, fruits, and breads. What kind of food does the class eat the most? What kind does the class eat the least?
• Write a poem about healthy eating as a class. Decide how much of each kind of food a person should eat per day and assign that number to each kind of food. Start each line of the poem with the number and the type of food (i.e. "six oranges"). Use each line of the poem to tell why each of the foods is healthy.
